Here we are now
When I was a very young kid, around about 5 years old, I used to watch a lot of telly. And in amongst all the adventures, the laughs, the life stories, cartoons and stuff I’m sure I wasn’t allowed to watch, I realised something fairly substantial. We’re all here to perform, to entertain, to make people feel special. Ultimately.
Then of course you couldn’t do what you can do now. I was 9 when I got my first cassette tape recorder. So at least I could record my voice. Or keep what I heard on the radio. And I was as old as 13 before I saw a home video recorder. I didn’t own one of those until I was well into my 30s.
If I look back and I would never have imagined then what is possible on our phones today. Jaw dropping moment. Making telly? From our phones! Don’t be silly!
The Video Age
Quite a lot of us are already at it – on Insta, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Vimeo and IGTV.
But don’t you sometimes feel, whether you’re already there or not, that you’re not actually up to that mark? Of performing, entertaining, making people feel special? Perhaps you feel the same applies to your business as a whole?
